The US punishes 24 Chinese companies involved in building artificial islands in the South China Sea.
The US government has issued a notice imposing additional sanctions on 24 Chinese companies and individuals involved in the actions of artificial island construction and militarization in the South China Sea. The latest trade sanctions prohibit US companies from exporting products to targets without a government license, listed including China's state-owned defense contractors from participating in Small trade with the United States, senior administration officials said on Wednesday, told on condition of anonymity for discussing trade issues.
